Anyone remember Ross The Boss, The legendary Guitar Player from 80's Metal band MANOWAR?  Well Ross The Boss is back with a brand new band and a brand new album!  The band name of course is also Ross The Boss but don't let that fool you into thinking that this is a solo act or even a solo album for that matter!  Of course Ross's Guitar skills are still on fire and in fine form but the thing that I found really impressive is while Ross could have released an album that was all about him instead he has chose to surround himself with musicians that are as equally talented as he is and that's what makes Ross The Boss's 2009 release New Metal Leader such an impressive album from a band as relatively new as this...........First of all anyone who is a Ross The Boss fan will want this album because Ross's Guitar Playing is just on fire and as relevant today as it was back in his days with MANOWAR!  Then there's the overall vocal sound of the album which is just so huge and dynamic that there's almost a Halford quality to the vocal sound throughout the entire album....Don't mistake that for me saying that Ross The Boss, The band sound at all anything like Judas Priest or even Fight or Halford because they just don't! Just listen to the album and I think you'll agree that the vocal sound is just so huge and dynamic that this is one band that has the potential to go on to bigger and better things in the years to come!  That is to say that I feel Ross The Boss, The band will be around for years to come and that they are future legends in the making which makes New Metal leader such a fitting title!  This album should be the blue print for all new bands that are looking to make a real statement with their music!  New Metal Leader features everything that is required in delivering a quality album and that is a band that oozes talent, good songwriting, and an album full of tracks that will ROCK YOUR WORLD!  No filler material here!  On this 11 track CD what you get for the most part is 100% full on metal but then there are also a few surprises.

The album starts off with a instrumental track called I.L.H. which interestingly enough only last for 49 seconds..........But it's a great way to kick off the album and this track itself has a great patriotic sound to it.........and then there's "May The Gods Be With You" which really is my favorite track on the album...It has a real 70's Classic Rock vibe to it..........To me it sounds like a cross between Foreighner and Boston...Just a great sounding Classic Rock tune................So to all you Ross The Boss fans want to know what he's been up to since his MANOWAR days....Go out and purchase New Metal Leader.........The latest CD by Ross The Boss, The band and you'll not only get a CD guaranteed to impress and ROCK YOUR WORLD but you'll also find out why ROSS THE BOSS is The New Metal Leader!

Tension Head is a fantastic, heavy, aggressive band that plays very fast paced, intense, loud metal from Saginaw, Michigan that will make you put your fist in the air and show your love for everything that is 100% pure Heavy Metal!  Tension Head has a bit of a Pantera vibe/influence to their music but what I really enjoyed about their album Do Or Die from start to finish is that they don't come across as a Pantera Clone/rip off band....Tension Head really has a great/original sound that really is all their own...........The minute I put on this album I thought WOW these guys sound like they could be the Bastard Sons of Pantera!  Another unique thing about DO Or Die is that all 10 tracks are very heavy, aggressive, and real intense!  The thing that I really took notice of is that throughout the entire album The screaming vocals and thunderous/bombastic drumming is what takes center stage........The bass and Guitar Playing are equally impressive but they are the back beat of all the songs, there's no over indulgent guitar playing just for the sake of showing off how fast the Guitar Player can shred......Guitar playing like that has its place and belongs on a Guitar Shred type album like a Steve Vai/Marty Friedman album..........Tension Head is no thinking man's music and that is to say that Tension Head delivers an album that is simple and yet entertaining.........With Do or Die Tension head delivers a 10 track CD that is 100% pure Metal that any metal fan can get off to.  The song writing is quite impressive as well....That I think has a lot to do with the fact that most of the songs weren't written w/the intent of delivering social, conscious messages but were written for the pure purpose of entertaining Metal fans worldwide....and that's something that has been missing in metal music for quite some time.....To me that's enough reason to check out Tension Head and add their latest CD Do or Die to your music collection!  Tension Head is one Metal band that doesn't take themselves all that serious and seems to care more about delivering an album full of quality Metal music for the Metal Masses all around the world and to me that's enough of a reason to pick up Tension Head's 2009 release Do Or Die!
